Live Drawing – Heroes
The David Bowie show “Heroes” creates a connection between Bowie’s songs and the books that inspired him. Alexander Scheer and his band perform Bowie, and I draw live to accompany some of the songs.
“Alexander Scheer, who has repeatedly filled theater stages and movie screens with major roles, embarks on a literary and musical search for traces with his band. The Berliner Ensemble is the perfect venue for this Bowie homage, because David Bowie not only lived in Berlin-Schöneberg between 1976 and 1978—he was also a theatergoer and audience member at the Berliner Ensemble. “Heroes” is a reading and concert, a tribute to the city of Berlin, a city marked by upheaval, its reverberations in world literature, and the magnificent songs that David Bowie gave to the whole world.” Berliner Ensemble
The show takes place at the Berliner Ensemble, on the 21st of September we played one show in Hamburgs Elbphilharmonie. As of October 2025, we raised approximately €18,000 for threatened cultural institutions at the subsequent auction of the original drawings.
